Quantum Group is committed to a sustainable environment. In 2007, we implemented the Q-Green Program, which includes:
- Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Certification
- The responsible disposal and recycling of ink, coatings, chemicals, paper, aluminum plates and computer equipment
- The use of inks and coatings that meet government safety standards
- The option to use UV inks and coatings instead of conventional inks and coatings to eliminate Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
In addition to traditional printing, the digital printing process using Quantum Group’s environmentally friendly Xerox® iGen equipment has green benefits:
- 97% of components are recycled or re-manufacturable
- More than 80%, by weight, of the waste generated by the iGen3 can be returned, reused or recycled
- Dry inks are non-toxic and have closed containers with a transfer efficiency rate of near 100%
- No generation or use of alcohols, chlorinated solvents, acids and flammable materials
